The Industrial Minerals Association - EuropeFounded in 1993, IMA-Europe represents the industrial minerals sector at EU level. The Association is involved in all non-commercial issues related to the properties and safe use of minerals from their extraction and processing through to their end-use applications. Health and safety at the workplace, environmental protection, product safety and awareness about the importance of industrial minerals for society are IMA Europes core priorities.IMA Europe ensures that the industrial minerals industry at large benefits from the sharing of non-sensitive information and plays a supporting role in the promotion of best practices.IMA Europe was at the origin of the "European Minerals Day" initiative, a pan-European Awareness raising event, now extended to embrace the wide EU extractive sector ( Europe is an umbrella organisation which brings together a number of European minerals associations, currently: CCA Europe, EBA, ESMA, EUBA, EuLA, EUROFEL, EUROSIL, EUROTALC, KPC Europe, IDPA.
